Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) transitioned from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA through a brownfield deployment. This migration focused on implementing mandatory updates while introducing a few selected innovations, with minimal disruption to existing processes.
A key priority of the transformation was achieving high user adoption across CPChem’s global workforce, highlighting the importance of a robust and well-executed training strategy. Onboard ERP utilized a hybrid training strategy to ensure the success of the SAP S/4HANA implementation. This approach combined the expertise of CPChem’s internal Super Users with the knowledge and experience of Onboard ERP’s professional SAP training consultants.
Onboard ERP conducted workshops to empower Super Users, equipping them with the skills and confidence to deliver training to their teams and provide ongoing support after the system’s go-live. This collaborative model effectively blended internal and external resources, ensuring a smooth training process, seamless knowledge transfer, and sustained internal support for both the implementation and future phases.
